Your saved
We pick the best places for you in the moment
Spontaneous location generation based on your goals and needs. If you have little time to decide on a place, or have too many places to decide at once, let us do the thinking for you.
Route overview. Before you go, see what your estimated route will look like based on some predicted environmental factors. Will it be bright, with wheel-friendly paths and busy with people? Or dim and quiet?
Search a location. If you have a place in mind but just want the comfort of knowing what your journey will look like, we can let you know.
Provide feedback for next time. If you enjoyed or didn’t enjoy your particular journey or location, let us know after each trip to continue tailoring your generated preferences, and for other users in the future. Maybe, you might get a special passport stamp for it. (Hint!)
But our upcoming features also aim to enhance your next outing, either alone or with friends:
Activity generator. Your regular spots might become a little more out of this world with suggested activities per location generation.
Share lists and recommendations. Your friends might have the next spontaneous travel itinerary for you to steal using Galaxa.
Personal tags. You can remember your previous experiences with a location with a custom tag, whether it's to highlight accessibility, sensory or overall vibes.

What studies show
In our current world, public spaces are not designed for women and the ways they navigate. In a report by Transport NSW, 9 out of 10 women consider safety as a factor when travelling, and a YouGov survey revealed 1 in 5 women feel unsafe in public spaces post-pandemic, and if they have a disability, it’s 1 in 4.

The problem
And while our cities and government bodies like the UN-Habitat and Transport NSW are aiming to make their spaces feel welcome for everyone through the Safer Cities Program, the feedback needed to understand how to best make those changes is not consistent enough to provide a holistic understanding. This is especially important for those with barriers preventing feedback, like accessibility, or lack of opportunity - due to their socioeconomic status or resources within their council area.

How we help
With Galaxa, we aim to give users the chance to share anonymous feedback around their experiences in navigating public spaces while allowing them to also use this information to make and receive better informed choices. And in the long term, we want to help councils use this feedback to better improve their public spaces for all users, especially women, girls and gender-diverse people.
